Antonio Wang Siracuza Antiqued Violin
Antonio Wang Siracuza Antiqued Violin
The Siracusa Model by Antonio Wang is a copy of the original Antonio Stradivari model Sunrise, 1677 beautifully handcrafted with ebony and bone inlays on the back, sides and head. It is set up with Thomastik Dominant strings and a Despiau bridge.
Of the ten surviving inlaid Stradivari instruments - eight violins, a viola and a cello - the "Sunrise" is the oldest of all and, as far as we know, the first produced by the cremona master of this type. in fact The instrument belongs to the first period of Stradivari's career, during which the influence of Nicolò Amati (1596-1684) was more than perceptible. For example, the top of the “F” are practically aligned with the hoops, a feature that certainly follows the Amati style.
